PRP can also be utilized in cosmetic procedures such as facial fillers to restore collagen and a more youthful appearance, hair restoration, vaginal rejuvenation for symptoms of incontinence, vaginal dryness, atrophy and increasing orgasmic pleasure by increasing circulation. Erectile dysfunction can also be treated by increasing circulation.
How does it work?
Plasma is the clear liquid formation of whole blood, composed of water and proteins, that cause blood clots and other necessary growth-healing functions. Platelet activation plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process.
PRP injections are prepared from a few tubes of your own blood by running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These platelets are extracted and then injected directly into your injured tissue.
PRP injections are safe and effective. Side effects from PRP injections are very limited because it is created from your own blood and your body will not reject or react negatively from them.
