What is PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a form of regenerative medicine which aids in the body’s natural response to heal tissue.

PRP injections can treat torn tendons, tendinitis, muscle injuries, arthritis related pain, and joint injuries. PRP can also be utilized in cosmetic procedures such as facial fillers to restore collagen and a more youthful appearance, hair restoration, vaginal rejuvenation for symptoms of incontinence, vaginal dryness, atrophy and increasing orgasmic pleasure by increasing circulation.  Erectile dysfunction can also be treated by increasing circulation.

How does it work?

Plasma is the clear liquid formation of whole blood, composed of water and proteins, that cause blood clots and other necessary growth-healing functions. Platelet activation plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process.

PRP injections are prepared from a few tubes of your own blood by running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These platelets are extracted and then injected directly into your injured tissue.
